100% recommendation to this place. I went to this place in mid Jan. As we reached at location, they said we need to walk for 300 mtr to reach the camp. We all are like did we booked wrong place. But after reaching at camp we are so overwhelmed with the hospitality given by them. They prepare garam garam and fresh khana for us. We stay there 2 nights and we totally enjoyed our stay without internet life. Next day we went for tungnath Trek and we took a package that includes guide also. Ankush bhaiya from camp, he was our guide. He took lunch also for us and he told us so many stories while trekking. In evening bonfire was setup for us, at that time Pawan bhaiya joined us and told so much about their culture and life. We had a best experience. I totally recommended to go this place. My family and I went to the Chopta Resort, which is in a beautiful location and offers stunning views of the mountains and verdant surroundings. Away from the rush of daily life, the calm surroundings offer a relaxing and revitalising escape. Additionally, the staff goes above and beyond to make sure that visitors have a pleasant and enjoyable stay. They are really helpful and attentive. The tasty and wonderful food offered at the resort's restaurant is one of the attractions of a visit to Chopta Resort. Simply amazing food is served here. It was such a wonderful stay at Magpie jungle camp resort for 3 nights this Apr end .The place is about 200 mtrs away from the road, that makes it more peaceful & serene with the chirping sound of birds all around the day , surrounded by Himalayas . The tent was nothing less than a luxury, with wooden bed, warm blanket & electricity throughout the day. The feather in the cap is the service & the local food given by Mr. Sandeep & his team . Mr. Sandeep is a thorough gentleman, humble person, always accessible & looking after the guests needs. I am again planning for a family group tour with 3/4 friends family together before Diwali to experience a different season at this Great resort ~ Milind P

This is the best location i have come across in my 6 years of travel experience. I am kind of person for whom travel and connect with nature is mandatory to maintain my acumen life. So i make myself available every quarter to out somewhere in the middle of nature to make some changes in my daily routine life. This helps me in making my life more exciting and challenging both together. So Magpie jungle camp is the only location till now where i can't get bored off. View to the Himalayas from the camp is awesome and with this View if you get a perfect home made delicious food. That makes your entire trip to chopta worth spending off. Been to this place several times, first time in 2011. The place where the camp is situated is magnificent, with great views of snow capped Himalayan peaks and thick cover of oak forests on the other side. Magpie jungle camp is the original camping destination in Chopta region. They're the pioneers of camping in the region and are well known throughout the region for their excellent hospitality and coverage of treks to nearby destinations such as Tungnath-Chandrashila and Devariya Tal (they also have a cottage accomodation in Devariya Tal area). Great food and service too. Hghly recommended for both first-time and seasoned travellers to this region. ~ Ashutosh G

I visited here with my 7 friends in first week of october. This camp restarted recently after lockdown. You have to track for around 5-10 mins to reach the megpie camp. However, this is a safe jungle camp which means it is surrounded by nature's beauty and trees. You can track to the near by Dewariyatal lake and Tugnath lord shiva temple which is just 3 km track. You can adsolutely enjoy the track, Camp is safe and calm. Megpie jungal camp is paradise for birds watchers. you can also enjoy badminton and volleyball with naturel Bugyal and in night there is a gentle bone fire and slow music which can be enjoyed too. You are limited to budget, you can try this camp ~ Sandeep R

One of the best stay.. You can get near by Chopta.... Situated in the lap of nature.. In between Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary.... Near by must visit places are... One of the highest Shiv temple in the world Tungnath And Chandrashila Peak... If you able to track... Then you can get 180 degree view of Himalaya range You can face wild life animals.. At any time... No electricity provided by the Govt till yet. There is no mobile connectivity or very less connectivity.. If you are lucky... Accessable whole the year..... This Camp Magpie Jungle Camp, where u will have real Natural beauty with jungle feeling. It is not so luxurious n not meant artificially, here everything is natural (real nature) n simple. Even you will find Solar system for light .Staff is also very cooperative n their food is just like u want (Simple and healthy with some Garhwali cousin. It is good for youngsters as it is adventurous, nice for olders as very close to nature, n comfortable to those who have small kids as staff is very supportive n will provide homely food for kids. USP -This place is located around 300meters away from the main road. And vehicles are not allowed till the campsite. THIS IS THE BEST PART. Place - This place is located 3-4kms before the actual village. Like already mentioned it is Around 300meters walk from the main road (need to park there). Situated in a clearing in the forest area. Has views of snowcapped mountains on one side. Accommodation - Very high quality tents. With ample of room inside. Huge beds and additional sitting also present. Too fancy interiors for a tent with all the facilities included. Western with jet spray. Hot water availability and good power backup too present. Food / Service - The food was amazing ! The veg and nonveg both were excellently cooked. Everything was always done with a smile. Prompt service and everyone took care of all our needs. Owner - Bharat has built this resort from scratch and has taken lot of efforts towards it. Amazing guy and a Birder. Superb host !! Had a blast.. Would recommend to one and all. ~ Aditya S

Very simplistic resort, located in the Kedarnath Musk Deer Sanctuary, hence surrounded by both jungles and himalayas. Tents are well sized, with attached bathrooms. The water is cold but manageable. Service and food is excellent. There is no electricity or range available, making it an even more thrilling experience. The point that can be improved is the rooms are not well lit even during the day. The lights come on at night. Overall it was a very good experience, and I would love to visit again. ~ Reva D

Really clean and well maintained place with a stunning view of the mountains from the campsite. Very laid back setting. Service was great! Constantly checked up on us, making sure we had a comfortable stay. Really good food too! Unfortunately we could not communicate well with them as they don't speak much English. We did a trekking package with them as well. Treks around the area included Tungnath-Chandrashilla, as well as Deoria Tal. The package included a personal driver as well as a trekking guide (if you need one). ~ P

It was an outstandingly fabulous experience in the camp. Surrounded by dense lush green forest, it was a sublime feeling in the lap of Nature n Mighty Himalayas. The scenic beauty in n around the Camp has infuse fresh feelings in otherwise monotonous daily life. Camp was hygienic n well kept. Food was tasty n homly as well. Best luxury camp in chopta. If you want to have a great experience in the lap of nature then you should come visit here. The staff is very good and the food is amazing You will get hot water anytime. The location of the camp is mesmerizing and there are facilities for sports like football, cricket and volleyball. The camp is situated at a quiet place not Like other camps which are on roads and they have lot of noises of vehicles. You can see different mountain ranges from here. ~ Anurag T

It's a pretty good place placed in the Himalayas, the magpie camp Is one the best site there in Chopta, landscape beauty from the camp was really mesmerising. Besides all the landscape the rooms are good and plus they are clean and the staff there is also very polite. You would find food just similar to your home. And I stayed there for six nights, it was a lifetime experience for me. Hope others will too have the same experince. And please take a jungle walk organised by the camp staff.. ~ Divyansh A

Beautifully located camps ...the views are amazing from the open area in the camp and the walk to the camp is equally mesmerizing...just that they can maintain the path a little better . Great service by the staff ..During our stay they helped us in every possible way ...in the middle of the Forrest where the resources are limited , the staff was literally on their toes to make sure that the guests are comfortable. The camp is set approx 400m off road which is walking. It is completely solar panel based camp. The food was delicious. The rooms were comfortable. The service was excellent. The staff was very co-operative. If you are non veg loving person, you have to tell them to cook non veg in advance for the dinner is completely veg but eggs are provided in the breakfast. If you want bonfire, they will provide you with it also. ~ Palak M

This place has an amazing vibe to chill.Some adventure activities and some obstacle activities also available for Children. the evening snacks with light musice (own small speaker) and dinner with stargaging was really a dedly combination of magpie camp chopta . the best part of the stay is the sceanic trek to Chandrashila.Food quality was upto the mark and tents were properly cleaned and sanitazied. Location of camp is approximately 300 metres from the main road and one has to go there on foot and that's the main USP of the camp that it is situated inside the jungle with no noise pollution. The camp is not visible from road and only when you walk roughly 500 meters on foot, you get to see these lush green meadows. Awesome is the word. Lights are not there for phone charging or TV's but you get LED lights upto 10pm. ~ Akhil S

Stayed here for 2 nights ie. From 04 oct to 06 oct 2022 .... Tents are well maintained, super clean and hygienic, food is by far the best available in chopta, hospitality level 10/10... Very humble staff, location is superb and very close to the nature , plus point is it's tucked inside the jungle, atleast 200 meters off the main road.. This is hands down the most recommended place to stay in chopta. ~ Rohan B
